Killed in Action.
The many friends of Mr. Russell Sinclair, of Kirribilli, will regret to hear that his son Lieut. E. R. Sinclair, M.C., of the 7th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, was killed in action in France on October 13. The young officer went to England in February, 1916, and joined his regiment in October of that year. He was seriously wounded on September 20, 1917, and was awarded the Military Cross. He went back to the field in August last, and fell on the day stated, a brave soldier and an esteemed officer. The young man was educated at the Sydney Church of England Grammar School, and there is widespread regret that another life of such promise has been cut off.
