First published in December 1909, the journal wanted “to help the young folk of Scottish parentage to better understand the history, literature and songs of the land of their forefathers”. When this gentleman passed away to his rest at the end of the year, Sydney lost a Scot who was famed for his business ability, noted for his kindness, and well known for his wide connection with various mining and other ventures.
