  1. Visit our gift subscription redemption page with your unique code to hand – it's in the email you got from us. You have 90 days to redeem the code from the date you received the email
  2. If you’re not already signed up, join Findmypast. It’s free. If you are already signed up with us, simply log in
  3. Once logged in, enter your unique gift subscription redemption code. It can only be used once and you won’t need to enter any billing details – it's a gift after all

Your gift subscription starts from the moment you redeem your unique code and ends after the specified time period, depending on the gift you received.

Unlike standard Findmypast subscriptions, your gift subscription won’t auto-renew. Shortly before your gift subscription ends, we’ll remind you that you’ll lose access to Findmypast records and features unless you become a paying subscriber. You can continue your family history journey by entering your billing details and subscribing at the end of your gift membership. If you have a 12-month gift subscription and choose to extend it into a paid membership, you'll benefit from 15% off each time you renew.

You can’t redeem a gift membership if you already have an active Findmypast subscription.

Lost your redemption code? No email received? Contact our customer support team and we’ll help you resolve any problems. Please read our full gift subscription terms and conditions before redeeming.
