13. Right of complaint to the Regulator for Data Protection

The data protection laws in the UK are regulated and enforced by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). As a UK registered company, Findmypast’s supervisory authority is the ICO. Each individual has the right to raise a concern to their country’s regulator if they have any worry about how their personal information and/or privacy is treated. In Ireland, the regulator is the Data Protection Commissioner / An Coimisinéir Consanta Sonraí. We have provided the contact details for both below.
