1921 Census discoveries
Thanks to Findmypast and the 1921 Census of England & Wales, we have an amazing picture of some of the people who also called our house a home.
Unexpectedly, I found my Gran’s brother lodging with her in the 1921 Census. Their cramped 4-room house also included seven children under 11-years-old.
The address my grandmother worked at in 1921 is now a hotel hosting Afghan refugees. And ironically, I now work with evacuated Afghan families in a different hotel.
