Shropshire Archives

We are pleased to be working in partnership with Shropshire Archives.

Shropshire Archives is the archives and local studies service for the historic county of Shropshire, which includes the Borough of Telford and Wrekin. The archives preserve and make accessible documents, books, maps, photographs, plans and drawings relating to Shropshire past and present. The holdings of the archives are held on 5 ½ miles of shelving and includes local material from 12th century charters right up to yesterday’s Shropshire Star.

Around 15,000 people per year visit Shropshire Archives, with many more reaching us via the website. The archives are funded by Shropshire Council and the Borough of Telford and Wrekin and supported by the Friends of Shropshire Archives.
