Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society which aims to help members trace their Montgomeryshire family histories.

Montgomeryshire is one of the thirteen historic counties of Wales. The county was abolished and amalgamated with Radnorshire and Breconshire to create the county of Powys in 1974.

The Montgomeryshire Genealogical Society is a member of both the Federation of Family History Societies and the Association of Family History Societies of Wales.

Although the main aim of the society is to help those with Montgomeryshire family history, the society also helps those with family connections in Shropshire, Cardiganshire, Denbighshire, Merionethshire and Radnorshire.
