Was your ancestor a member of a non-conformist church in Shropshire between 1819 and 1906? The collection includes membership lists from Congregational and United Reform Churches. Some membership lists recorded your ancestor’s residence and occupation, as well as when your ancestor was admitted to the church. The records come from Church Stretton, Madeley, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Whitchurch.
Each record will have an image of the membership list and a transcript. For various reasons the amount of detail in each record can differ but most will include a combination of the following:
