Changes to the family tree

  • Redesign of the tree navigation

Friday, 18th April

  • All record sets that include first and last names now display these search fields in a consistent order, that being First name, followed by Last name
  • Improved compatibility with certain versions of Internet Explorer when accessing the site securely

Thursday, 17th April

  • The ability to jump to a specific page of a record set using new navigation in the viewer has been added
  • Improvements have been made to the layout when you print transcriptions, allowing you to print onto one page (more to come)
  • The layout of the results view has been improved (the first steps in a bigger project)
  • New 100 in 100 records published – see http://100in100.findmypast.co.uk/ for further details
  • Numerous bug fixes and smaller changes

  • Improvements to British Nationals Armed Forces Marriages 1796-2005 record set, allowing for searching by spouse first and last name, improvements in results display, and additional reference information when viewing transcripts
  • Added support for filtering search results by gender on all UK census record sets
  • Improved site navigation to work better on mobile and tablet devices
  • Continued work on performance improvements
