The Durham Bishop's Transcripts includes over a million baptism, marriage, and burial records. Bishop's transcripts are a copy of the original parish registers which were created by the parish clerk and sent the bishop. They are a valuable resource particularly in parishes where the original registers have not survived.

Below you will find all of the parishes represented in this collection. The lists are divided by event type. Each list provides a year range but this is not always comprehensive and gaps may appear in the records.
