Harold Garfield Kincaid joined the Australian Imperial Force on 17 Aug 1916 when he was 20 years and 6 months old.

He was admitted to hospital between 5 Oct 1916 and 14 Oct 1916 with Influenza.

He was embarked at Brisbane with his brother Thomas Andrew Ronald Kincaid on the S.S. Kyarra on 17 November 1916 and disembarked at Plymouth, England on 30 January 1917.

He was admitted to Fovant Hospital from 1 Mar 1917 to 4 Mar 1917 with Mumps.

He proceeded to France on 16 Jun 1917 with the 8th Eng Bat.

He joined 5th A.D.B.D. depot ex England in Havre and marched out to join the 47th Bat. 14 Jul 1917 in Belgium.

He was detached to 24th M.G. Coy. for duty carrying party 22 Sep 1917.

He was detached back to 47th Bat. 27 Oct 1917.

He was wounded in action on 7 Apr 1918 and died of his wounds. Advised by CO via memo of 6th A.F. Amb. S.W Head.

Buried at Henencourt Woods British Cemetery 4 miles West of Albert, France. Reburied at Ribemount Communal Cemetery Extension 4.5 miles West of Albert, Plot 4 Row E, Grave No 7
