Why do you need my credit/ debit card details for a free trial?

Answer:

We take your card details so that we can continue your access to findmypast for you  at the end of your 14 day free trial.

Your card will only be charged if you decide to keep your membership at the end of the free trial period. You can opt out of the free trial at any time by going to the My Account link at the top of the website, then select the Personal Details option from the drop-down list.

You then just scroll down to the 'Auto-renew my subscription' option, untick that box and click on the blue 'Update details' button.

We will then send a  confirmation email to your registered email address, confirming that your account details have been updated and you will see that your Auto Renew subscription has been set to 'No'.
