Taroom, a major centre for the beef industry, is a town on the Dawson River in Queensland, approximately 485 kilometres northwest of Brisbane. The earliest burial in the cemetery is that of John Currie who was accidentally killed on 27 August 1891. This transcription was completed in October 2000.
