The Australian Capital Territory (or ACT) is a self-governing territory in southeast Australia, enclaved by New South Wales. It is one of two self-governing internal territories in Australia and is the smaller of the two. The only city in the territory is Canberra, Australia’s capital city.

This database comes from the Australia Capital Territory Archives. Further details will be found on the marriage certificate itself, which can be obtained online from the Office of Regulatory Services. Due to the sensitivity of the information found on marriage certificates, the marriage must have occurred more than 75 years ago to obtain a certificate.
